While there are many different methods of adjusting, Dr. Shimoda primarily uses the "Activator Method." This is especially effective in treating head, jaw, neck, back and extremity pain. While this is a gentler form of adjustment, it is also more precise and efficient. Dr. Shimoda is Advanced Proficiency rated in this method. Rehabilitation:
Dr. Shimoda gives patients individualized care plans after their initial visit. As the need arises and conditions warrant, he will add rehabilitation (exercises) to the care plan. We have a rehabilitation room and equipment in-house.
Our Services
Call with any question or concerns you may have. Along with our in-house services, we carry dietary supplements as well as pillows and back/neck supports and custom orthotics. We also carry BioFreeze, an all-natural pain reliever available in spray, roll-on or gel.
Nutritional Support:
Dr. Shimoda is licensed to offer, and supply, nutritional support. His recommendations are individualized, as well, based on each patient and his or her lifestyle.
Physical Therapy Modalities:
Along with exercises, Dr. Shimoda might recommend physical therapy modalities. These are also offered in-house, and are advised in conjunction with regular adjustments. The different modalities are ultrasound therapy and electro-stimulation treatments.
