Activator Chiropractic Method- a gentle chiropractic technique Many different Chiropractic techniques have been developed over the past 100 years. Modern Chiropractic is essentially involved in making adjustments to the spine and extremities to correct the movement or position and thus remove pressure on the nerves. This allows the body to heal itself. In the Activator Method, a hand held instrument called an Activator is used to accurately and specifically deliver the adjustment with low force. This allows for fast, light adjustment that the body’s muscles more readily accept. There is no “pop” or audible release with the Activator Method, but the adjustment/correction to the joint is still accomplished. The Activator Method of treatment includes the latest advances in orthopedic, neurological and chiropractic examinations to find joint dysfunction in the spinal column and extremities. The Activator Method is approved by Medicare and all insurances that cover chiropractic care. Activator Methods Incorporated conducts chiropractic research and post graduate educational seminars. Chiropractors may become Proficiency Rated or Advanced Proficiency Rated by attending seminars and passing written and practical examinations. Annual seminar participation is required to maintain proficiency and ensure consistency.
